Quick News

Following good work by Arthur G4CPE in helping to get stations on air, 70 cm DATV activity has resumed in this area. 2Ms, QPSK, 437MHz. On 7/8/14 G4CPE, Upper Sundon Luton, and Ian G3KKD JO02CF, Quy Cambridge, exchanged excellent pictures.

Then to our surprise and delight G3KKD received pictures from two newly established stations. Ted 2E0EAZ Dunstable, 64 km from KKD, 30W 19 ele Tonna, and Steve M0SKM, Houghton Regis.

Unfortunately despite KKD running 200W, neither could receive his pictures  This is thought to be due to the dongles being used as up converters feeding STBs being inadequate. Improvements are being made and other stations are said to be equipping.
